A pretty cool short film about what would happen if the world was conquered by 8-bit invaders. The special effects are pretty fun to watch and there’s some great nostalgia mixed with some pretty creative moments. I think the Tetris and Space Invaders scenes were pretty rad.

I came across this photo the other day on an image search and it just completely cracked me up. Yea, a fire tornado would be something that would be both terrifying and unstoppable. Imagine if they had a fire tornado gun of some kind – Whoa, I just got the chills; the awesome chills.

I thought this video I came across on YouTube was pretty funny. You know, I’ve thought the same thing when watching the little ‘lamp jumping on the letter i’ sequence at the beginning of all Pixar’s movies. Why would the lamp do that? Is there a back story we don’t know about, or was it just plain old ‘i-slaughter’ in the first degree? Enjoy!

This photo was taken from my dad who said: “Hey, I saw this guy on the way out to the island today. Coming up behind him I couldn’t figure out why he had a shash on his helmet, then I saw the front!” I love how the guy has this helmet and is driving a green Kawasaki Ninja. That’s probably the coolest thing you can do with a helmet. Props to my dad for taking the great shot.

So like many people, I logged into my gmail account and got this little modal window enticing me to try out this thing called Google Buzz. Now, this really came out of nowhere to me, I had no clue Google was working on such a thing. I thought all their emphasis was on making Google Wave the next big thing. However, with the integration of Buzz, Gmail acts like a mini-facebook/twitter/microblog now but in it’s own Gmailish way. First impression: I actually like it! The possibilities are really endless now. I see this as possibly a more practical business solution more ... Full Post »
