The 8 Types of Bad Creative Critics

Matt Sonnenberg over at Ignite Marketing shot me over a link to this cartoon today by Tom Fishburne. I hate to say it but I have dealt with clients who are guilty of being one of these critics, but then again, I’m sure they can find some cartoons about designers like me out there too Thanks Matt, this was hilarious and made my day!

Gorilla/Shark High Five

gorilla-shark-highfive I saw this shirt design the other day and though that it fit the bill for the awesome category. I don’t know who sits around and dreams ups stuff like this, but a gorilla and a shark high-fiving each other with an explosion behind them and the word “Nice.” is for some reason extremely awesome to me. Now we don’t necessarily know why they are high-fiving; what is it that they could have done or blown up? I think the fact that a shark and a gorilla possibly blew something up would in and of itself justify a high five. ... Full Post »

Pochahontas/Avatar Vid

We all saw the obvious, but now we have a funny video to confirm it. I thought this was very well done and in some parts, it’s creepily familiar. People give Avatar such a hard time, but hey, all the great stories and myths revolve around a hero finding his way, and in more modern times, getting the girl. Even if she is an alien. All great movies follow this recipe, so let’s give this movie a break, it was a fun flick and, really, the graphics were incredible.
