This is a redesign of an older version of the site that was built a while back, well, 2006. North Padre Island Construction is my father’s company down in Corpus Christi, Texas. I spent my childhood building decks with him back in the day. In fact, I helped build several of the projects in his gallery! The original site width was a lot thinner and it was all just straight html. The Josh Stevens Foundation site is now live. It’s been a pretty fun project to work on, they’ve got some great ideas and they are just getting started! Drew and Barbara Stevens lost their oldest son Josh in a tragic accident back in 2008. They were flooded with stories from people who commented on how kind he was so they took that idea and formed a foundation in his honor about spreading kindness. This is so true, I don’t even know where to start, but I don’t think I have to. The cartoon speaks for itself. Thanks to Agency Smackdown creators of the awesome “Make My Logo Bigger Cream“.

I saw this shirt design the other day and though that it fit the bill for the awesome category. I don’t know who sits around and dreams ups stuff like this, but a gorilla and a shark high-fiving each other with an explosion behind them and the word “Nice.” is for some reason extremely awesome to me. Now we don’t necessarily know why they are high-fiving; what is it that they could have done or blown up? I think the fact that a shark and a gorilla possibly blew something up would in and of itself justify a high five. ... Full Post »

A pretty cool short film about what would happen if the world was conquered by 8-bit invaders. The special effects are pretty fun to watch and there’s some great nostalgia mixed with some pretty creative moments. I think the Tetris and Space Invaders scenes were pretty rad.
