LDSJournal GOLD Sneak Peek

A screenshot of the new LDSJournal.com homepage.
Ok, so it’s been a while since we’ve had a major update to LDSJournal.com and I know there are probably a lot of folks who have been waiting for some of these new features. Among other basic improvements to the service, LDSJournal GOLD features:
- An Ad-free environment
- Email-to-journal
- Export to PDF
- 2GB Footnote and photo storage capacity
Here’s a screenshot of some of the new icons in the settings section. My Library was already there, the billing and shipping area is for you to view book orders, GOLD service payments, etc. The email to journal section is where you can configure the email addresses that you want to send entries from and the export to pdf section allows you to, well, export your journal or parts of it to a downloadable pdf!

Configuring email to journal is easy. Just enter an email address and *shazam* you can start sending emails to your journal account! Attach photos and they will be automatically included as footnotes, how rad is that? Oh, it’s rad.

LDSJournal has an ad-free environment now so there’s just a slim new header up there for the GOLD members.

In the “My Library” section there’s a new ‘export’ link next to the ‘edit book’ link. That’s another way you can get to the book export process.

The ‘export book’ process is almost exactly like the book order process except at the end you just download a file instead of placing a book order. You can export unlimited journals once you’re a GOLD member.

And check it out, there are my last two years of journals all chilling in my new journals folder that I made. It’s nice to have my journals backed up in so many places, online, in a printed book and on my computer! Now where else can you do THAT? That’s right, nowhere, LDSJournal rules.
Below is a shot of the exported pdf that I’m looking at here with quick view on my Mac. Pretty cool.

There’s more stuff coming as well, I can say that we have big things planned for LDSJournal.com in the near future. This is just the first step, so if you haven’t signed up yet, do it NOW, it’s FREE for crying out loud. The GOLD service will have a yearly fee, but it’s smokin’ deal. Journal on.
